THESE SIMTPLE STEPS TRANSFORMED MY LIFE
Reflecting over the last 4 years of my self development journey I’ve listed the key takeaways that anyone can use to completely transform their life within weeks.
Cutting out Alcohol & Drugs
This is a great starting point for anyone looking to be better or dream bigger. If life is a little bit hazy and the path is all too familiar then taking a break from drinking can bring some much needed clarity to ones life.
Don’t take my word for it try it for a month and see how you feel.
Exercise Daily
If in doubt work out, Even if you’re broke, lonely and have nothing going for you just hit the gym. For guys especially if your in great shape and your clothes fit you well you can do yourself no harm, in fact being in shape can open up opportunties for you in the right rooms.
If you’re unhealthy and overweight theres no excuse, if you cant make time for your health now then you’ll make time for sickness later.
Wake up Earlier
Start by waking up half hour earlier than you normally do, then 30 mins earlier the week after. One extra hour free to yourself in the mornings has such a transformative affect on your day. I aim for 4:45am wake but i usually snooze until 4:55am its something i’m working on.
The beauty of this is you can never rob yourself of sleep so you’ll end up going to bed earlier.
Meditation & Stretching
I find this more affective in the mornings hence why i wake up earlier. My mind is more still in the mornings although i do wake up negative most days. It works well to cleanse my mind before i go about my day.
Start with 2 minutes then work your way up to 10 + minutes . There is no right or wrong way and it doesn’t matter how many times you move, Ive been doing this for little under a year now and i actually quite enjoy it.
Stretching releases a lot of stress and tention. I usually do a 5 minute mobility routine that greases the groves ready for the day
Talk to Strangers
A conversation with someone new can completely change the trajectory of your life. It’s the reason i’m in Australia and its the reason I started my entrepreneurial journey.
Reading
An absolute must for anyone wanting to level up and get ahead of the pack. If your stuck for ideas choose books to do with Money, sales & negotiation self - developement and business.
Audio books are a great way to get started although reading physical books has a more lasting imprint.
Start a Side Project/Hustle
Theres nothing more i’m passionate about than building something in my free time. Working towards something of great difficulty has given me sense of self worth and fulfilment. I always felt something was missing in my life when i got sober going to the gym and working as a relatively well paid tradesman just wasn’t enough for me.
Im reminded daily of this overwelming sense of urgency that this is it, I only have one life and i wont get another shot. I know i’m meant for more and id be doing myself and the world a disservice if I didn’t fill my potential.
As i write this its 20:47 on a Sunday night. I’ve worked a total of 7 days this week, exercised 14 times and awoken before 5am every day.
It would be easy for me to sack this newsletter off and not post instagram content every day this week that nobody will see but i know if i stack the small wins i’ll be deserved of the big wins.
